February 19th, 20th, 21st, 2000 WARWICK, NY - 3-DAY IN-STUDIO WORKSHOP: COLLAGE & THE CREATIVE PROCESS / in the Artist's Studio: Explore composition and the creation of a personal visual vocabulary. Enjoy new opportunities for spontaniety as you learn how to eliminate liquid adhesives from the collage-assembly process. Other subjects to be covered include "Getting Started," Accessing our Creative Energies, "Paperless" Transfer of Printed and Photocopied Images, Permanency of Materials, Preparation of Substrates, Sources of Tools and Materials, Presentation and Framing of Finished Works, and more. Limited to 8 participants.
 
February 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 2000 WARWICK, NY - 5-DAY IN-STUDIO WORKSHOP: BREAKTHROUGH: THE ART OF ASSEMBLAGE / in the Artist's Studio: Explore assemblage as a natural outgrowth of painting. Experience the satisfaction of breaking through the limitations of a flat surface as you learn how to incorporate an unlimited selection of materials into your works. Find out how to keep your works cohesive despite the wide range of materials used. Access to all tools and materials in the artist's studio and woodworking shop are included in this five-day workshop. Limited to 4 participants.
 
March 17th, 18th, & 19th, 2000 ALEXANDRIA, VA - WORKSHOP: COLLAGE TECHNIQUES & CREATIVE EXPLORATION / The Art League School: A 3-day workshop with optional evening hours (at no extra cost) on the first two days. To be held in a larger and more relaxed space than last year. We will explore Collage without Liquid Adhesives, "Paperless" Image Transfer, and other collage techniques as well as Composition, Creation of a Personal Visual Vocabulary, Presentation and Framing of Finished Works, and more.
 
March 24th & 25th (26th optional), 2000 LONGVIEW, TX - WORKSHOP: COLLAGE TECHNIQUES & CREATIVE EXPLORATION / The Longview Museum of Fine Arts: This will be a 2-day workshop (9am - 5pm) with an optional extra day. There will also be optional evening hours 'til 10pm on the first two days at no extra cost. Explore Composition, Creation of a Personal Visual Vocabulary, Collage without Liquid Adhesives, "Paperless" Image Transfer, and other collage techniques as well as Presentation and Framing of Finished Works and more.
 
May 16th-19th, 2000 CHICAGO, ILLINOIS - COLLAGE INTENSIVE: COLLAGE TECHNIQUES & CREATIVE EXPLORATION / Techny Towers, Techny, IL. Join in a four-day collage intensive. While the formal workshop will run from 9 to 5, inexpensive on-site accomodations and meals* in this former seminary building, combined with studio access 'till midnight (with workshop leader present most of the time), will allow many of us the concentrated time we need to get some good work done. JONATHAN TALBOT: A BRIEF BIOGRAPHY:

Works by Jonathan Talbot have been exhibited at The National Academy and The Museum of Modern Art in New York, have represented the U.S. overseas in exhibitions sponsored by the State Department and the Smithsonian Institution, and are included in museum collections in the U.S. and Europe. Talbot maintains his studio in Warwick, NY where he lives with his wife Marsha. They are the parents of two children: a daughter, Loren, and a son, Garret.
